A very nice Deering John Hartford Pop on resonator model made in 2007. Serial number: 03450075153 Deering says of these banjos:

“A light weight banjo with the unique “Hartford” sound. Woody, bright, and unmistakable.”

The neck is curly maple with a walnut stain and beautiful steamboat scroll mother of pearl inlays. It has a slender Deering shape and an ebony fingerboard. Deering planetary tuners and a geared fifth tuner also Deering. Has 22 nickel silver frets and an adjustable truss rod. Features a bone nut and vintage satin finish.

The pot features a Hartford Grenadillo Tone ring, Brass notched tension hoop, 11″ frosted top banjo head, 24 round hooks with hex nuts, one piece cast zinc flange, Deering “true tone” tailpiece, and 5/8″ Deering ‘smile’ bridge.

Resonator is the ‘pop on’ style and is curly maple with dark walnut stain.Resonator sides are specially tapered on the inside for projection of tone.
