An interesting refin story on this mid 60’s Epiphone Coronet. When we got this one into the shop it had been spraypainted black at some point in its history. Aside from that it was in good shape and with the exception of the truss rod cover, had all its original parts down to the wiring. We sent it out to our good friends at MJT Guitar finishes and chose to have it painted with authentic Dodge Sherwin Williams “Sunset Yellow”, one of the rarest colors that Epiphone used. We were able to date it using the pot codes to the mid 1960’s (most likely 1965) We got this baby looking and playing great! Light relic on the refin (laquer over acrilic). It is currently strung as a wraparound.
