The 3/4-sized Gibson ES-140 was similar to the ES-175 in design, but with a smaller scale and body shape. This hollowbody premiered with a P-90 pickup in the neck position and a trapeze tailpiece. The ES-140 design stayed more or less the same until it was discontinued in 1957.
This one is in very good condition. The body and the finish are in great shape with some minor markings on the sides. The tailpiece and the tuners have been replaced with ones that are not correct to this model but the correct trapeze tailpiece and tuners can be easily attained if desired. Comes with a non original chipboard case.
P-90 pickup, pointed cutaway, replaced tailpiece and tuners, dot inlays, bound top and back, 22 3/4-inch scale.
