A great players mandolin! Here is a 1913 Gibson Style F2 that has the trademarks of a much loved and played instrument of its age. Obvious are the restorations made to it in the past century. The finish has been removed bringing out its natural wood. The pick guard has been removed for some time as seen by the pick wear on the body. The tuners were replaced at some point and it is evident that the neck had been repaired as well as a crack under the scroll. However altered, we feel that this plays better than some we have seen in better cosmetic condition and would make a lovely companion to anyone looking for that warm sound so unique to the style F2 of that era. Comes with a very nice modern hard shell case.
